Justice for a Chef Robbed of His Passion | Howard Raphaelson

Raphaelson and Levine recently represented a chef who was injured while working at Hofstra University. Our client tripped and fell over an exposed drain. This drain created an unsafe tripping hazard and exposed our client to a workplace hazard. Our firm brought suit against Hofstra, who in turn brought a lawsuit against multiple contractors who designed, installed and placed the drain. We worked closely with our engineering expert to establish that the drain was dangerous, violated applicable codes, and in fact was installed contrary to the drain manufacturer’s specifications.
